How To Move Web Browser Window

Dear Computer Lady,

Can you please tell me how to shrink my Websites (like MSN or another news website) to fit on my computer screen? The zoom control in the upper right corner does nothing to solve the problem.

Someone suggested that I change my resolution but won’t that change the size of everything else on my computer. Everything else on my computer is fine – just the right side of the websites I go to extends past the viewing area on my computer and I don’t know how to get the rest of the right hand side onto my screen.

Any suggestions? I have Microsoft Windows 10 if that is of any help to you.

Thank you, Larry

Dear Larry,

From what you describe, it sounds like your web browser window is partially off the screen.

If you can see the title bar (at the top of your web browser window) try holding down your mouse button in the title bar and dragging the window back to the center of your screen.

If that doesn’t work, you can try resizing the window to fit better. Point to the left edge of the browser window until the cursor turns into a double sided arrow and drag it to the right. This will make the window narrower, and you can then go back to the title bar and drag it to the left again.

Since this was a little hard to describe in writing, I created a video you can watch at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzOtZ_6l3bM
I hope it helps!

Elizabeth
