How To Put Video on DVD

Dear Computer Lady,

Thanks so much for your newsletters.

My question is I took a video on my iPad of a friends 80th birthday – how do I made a DVD of it for her?

The photos have been no problem it’s its just the video please help.

Dear Diana,

It sounds like you need a program for creating DVDs. Photos are fairly easy to put on a disk that can be read by your DVD player, or any computer, all you have to do is burn the photos on a disk.

DVD videos, on the other hand, need to be converted to a format that can be used by DVD players. If you just burn the video file to a DVD disk without converting, you will only be able to play the video on your computer.

To do this, use a program like Roxio My DVD Video Lab. It allows you to take the video you made, edit it, and then share it on DVD or even on social media sites like facebook.
