My question is how do I permanently delete sent items? They are in my outlook express box for a year–
It is easy to permanently delete your sent items in Outlook Express, or most other email programs. This method will not work for online email programs like Yahoo or Gmail, just local email programs on your computer.
1. Open your email program, and click on your “Sent Items” folder.
2. Click once on one message in the folder, then use the keyboard combination Ctrl + A to select all the messages.
3. Now, on your keyboard, hold down the “Shift” key and press the DEL key.
4. A dialog box will pop up asking you if you are sure you want to permanently delete your messages. Click yes, and your sent items will skip the deleted items folder, and be permanently deleted.
