Dear Computer Lady,
I have Windows 10 and am still able to use Windows Live Mail, which I really like.
My question is when filtering out junk mail, I have the option to “add sender to blocked sender list” and/or “add sender’s domain to blocked sender list”. Most of my junk mail comes via yahoo.com email addresses. If I choose to add sender’s DOMAIN to blocked sender list will that prevent me from getting email from friends who use Yahoo mail? I do have 3 or 4 friends who do have yahoo mail.
I look forward to receiving your newsletter and always find very useful information in it. I appreciate your effort to put it out.
Thank you! Grace
Dear Grace,
Yes, if you add the sender’s domain to the blocked sender’s list, it will block all emails from that domain including your friends.
You might want to try a test and see if you can add your friends to the allowed senders list, and then block the yahoo domain. I’m pretty sure it will block all the emails from yahoo, but it is worth a try to see if putting your friends in the allowed senders will override the blocked domain.
If it doesn’t work, you will just have to unblock the yahoo domain.
