Good Secondary Email

[ad]Dear Computer Lady,

I am having problems with my MSN email (through Hotmail) and would like to eliminate it.
Following your advice in your newsletter I have been using Gmail as my primary now for two years, but still would like to have a secondary email. Actually some people require a back-up one.

Which is safe and almost as free of spam as Gmail?

Thank you! Mili

Dear Mili,

I don’t know of any email server that filters out the spam as well as Gmail, in fact, that is the biggest reason that I switched over to Gmail.

You might try the email address availalbe to you through your Internet Service Provider. An email address is usually included with your internet access, and you would have better tech support in case something goes wrong with the email.

Another option would be to use a cell phone number as a backup for Gmail. When using a cell phone as a backup option, Gmail would send a text message to your cell phone, and the code in the text message would allow you to reset your Gmail password.

Maybe someone else will have some suggestions for a free secondary email for you, when they read this article.

If you want a backup just for the purpose to get your forgotten password then just open another email account anywhere like Yahoo etc and don’t give out the address or use the account except to retrieve your password. If you just want another email address open another one at Gmail.
