Dear Computer Lady,
I have a laptop with Windows 7 O/S
I copied and pasted a contact list from an older PC which had VISTA. I want to import this list of contacts to my e-mail program /Microsoft Outlook 2003. Not at all interested in Windows Live Mail.
Can you help?
You have a very interesting site.

It all depends on how you saved your contacts from the old computer.
In Vista, and Windows 7, the contacts are usually stored in the “Contacts” folder. This makes it easy to transfer from one computer to another, because all you have to do is copy the entire “Contacts” folder from one to the other.
You can access the Contacts folder when you click on “Start” and then click on your user name at the top of the right column. This opens a window that contains all of your user folders, and all you have to do is drag the, “Contacts” folder to a removable device like a USB data stick, then drag the contacts folder onto your new computer.
Once you have the contacts on your new computer, you should be able to use the “Import” function in Outlook to import the contacts.
It’s Your Turn: What do you think?
