How To Insert A Row in Excel

Dear Computer Lady,

I cannot insert a complete row in Excel when I click insert.

Please help me, Glennis

Dear Glennis,

I like to insert a row in Excel by right clicking on the spreadsheet instead of using the menu at the top.

To insert an entire row, right click on the row number on the left edge of your spreadsheet and click “Insert” in the contest menu.

A new, blank, row will be inserted. All the rows below will move down one row.

This method has worked in all versions of Excel that I have used, and seems to make the most sense to me.

I hope this helps, Elizabeth
