Dear Computer Lady,
How do you make the computer stop dumping and the blue screen coming up?
Debbie
Dear Debbie,
Unfortunately, I don’t have a simple solution for your problem. The blue screen that you are getting, is a symptom of either a hardware problem, or a driver problem (drivers are the software instructions that control a hardware device)
What you need to do, is figure out what is causing the problem, and then decide if it is something that can be fixed or not.
If you recently added some hardware, perhaps a new printer, or mouse, or updated the RAM, that could be the cause of the problem. Try removing the recently added hardware, and see if that fixes the problem.
Sometimes the BSOD (blue screen of death) is the result of problems with the RAM. The only way to figure out if this is the problem is to either test the RAM, or try replacing the RAM. I frequently run RAM tests here in my shop.
Those are the fairly easy things you can do to try and diagnose the problem. Probably the best solution is to bring the computer into your local computer repair shop for some diagnostics.
