Dear Computer Lady,
I just hooked up to cable internet, but find the dial-up connection box still shows up when I click on to Outlook Express. Nothing in it, just annoying.
Thanks for your help in advance, Martha

Dear Martha,
You can stop the dial up connection box by making a simple change. This works in Windows 98, ME, XP, and Vista
1. Open the Control panel by clicking on “Start”, “Settings” and then “Control Panel”, or in XP, click on “Start” and “Control Panel”.
2. In the Control Panel, double click on the “Internet Options” icon. In XP & Vista, you would have to click on “Network and Internet connections” before you open Internet Options.
3. In the Internet Options window, click on the “Connections” tab. Here you can do one of two things, you can click to select “Never dial a connection”, or you can click on your old dial up connection and then click the “Remove” button.
Click “OK” when you are finished and the problem will be solved.
