How To Sync Bookmarks

Dear Computer Lady,

I have been avidly read your emails as soon as they come out.

How can I share my “Favorites” across my computers? I have 2 desk systems, a laptop and a net book. Help!!!

Thanks, Stewart

Dear Stewart,

I am not aware of a way to share your Internet Explorer favorites with different computers, however if you use Google Chrome and sign into your Google account, you can share your Chrome bookmarks across multiple computers.

Google uses a feature called, Chrome Sync, which saves your personalized browser features to the web and then allows you to access them from Google Chrome on any computer.

All you have to do, is install Chrome on your computer, sign into your Google Account (you can create one if you don’t already have one) and then go to your Chrome settings and go to your Advanced sync settings to choose what you want to sync.

One of the reasons I love AOL. No matter where you are or what computer you are on, when you bring it up my favorites, folders, email, etc. are the same everywhere on any computer.

Why not export your Favorites to a thumb drive, move it to each other computer in turn and import them?

In answer to how to share favorites across computers. XMarks for IE is a free program that I have used on all my PC’s for several years. Everytime I add or delete a favorite from one PC, it updates favorites on all PC’s.
