Dear Computer Lady,
I had five new updates to install last night so I installed them. One of them was a change to explorer.
Now my windows toolbar is gone along with the button for favorites! How do I get it back?
Do you mean Internet Explorer? It sounds like you upgraded to Internet Explorer 9 which does look a little different than IE 8 looked.
If this is the case, you will find your favorites button in the upper-right corner of the browser, right under the minimize and maximize buttons.
The home button looks like a little house, and the favorites button is a star. There is also a button that looks like a gear. this is the way you now access settings.
If you are missing a toobar, just right click in a blank spot to the left of the home button, and you will get a drop down list with your toolbars listed. Just click on the one that you want displayed to turn it back on.
