Dear Computer Lady,
On my 5 year old laptop which does not have enough memory, every time I disconnect from the Internet I receive a message “Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close.” Options are: “Send Report” or “Don’t Send Report”. What am I doing wrong?
Please advise. Gale
You are not doing anything wrong. This error message indicates that Internet Explorer has become a little bit corrupt over time and is now unable to close correctly. If this is the only problem you are having with the computer, it is probably best to just click “Don’t send report” when you close IE and forget about it.
Fixing this problem can be difficult since Internet Explorer is a part of Windows that you can’t un-install by itself. You would probably need to re-install Windows to fix the problem.
