I have an HP Pavilion laptop using Vista Home Premium. I use Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer keeps stopping. I get the following message:
“Internet Explorer has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.”
I never do get a solution.
I also often get another message: “Google not responding, Internet not responding. Recovering web page” I then have to start over by closing the windows and clicking back on to Internet Explorer.
Any suggestions you have would be appreciated.
I have seen symptoms like this a lot lately, and most of the time it is caused by some sort of toolbar or search assistant.
You can try to fix it by clicking on the start button, then Control Panel.
In the Control Panel, click on “Uninstall a Program” and find all the search toolbars, coupon toolbars and stuff like that. Click on each one, then click, “Uninstall” in the toolbar.
Restart the computer after you have finished and try using Internet Explorer again.
