Notifications on Lock Screen

Dear Computer Lady,

I have installed the new IOS7 on my iPad. I now have notifications appear first (when I turn on the iPad) and the next screen asks for my security passcode. Can I delete the notifications from appearing or are they there to stay?

Thank you, Carole

Dear Carole,

You can select which notifications you want to appear and which you don’t in the settings on your iPad.

Here is how:

1. From the home screen on your iPad, tap on “Settings”.

2. In the left-hand column, tap on “Notification Center”.

3. In the right-hand column, locate the top section labeled, “Access On Lock Screen” and tap to turn off, “Notifications View” and “Today View”.

In addition, you will see a list of apps that include notifications. You can click on each app, and turn on or off each app.

Elizabeth
