Kindle Fire and Adobe Flash

Dear Computer Lady,

Sometimes I can not access pictures on the websites with my Kindle Fire.

For example, pillsbury.com this happens often, this website I need the Adobe player to see the picture and so I do try to download. I either download the wrong one for the kindle fire and can’t access the file when I try.

Thank you so much.

This is the only problem so far I have found with my kindle fire.

Bonnie

Dear Bonnie,

I did a little bit of research and found that the newer Kindle Fire tablets, and the Kindle Fire HD tablets do not support Adobe Flash player.

If the website you are trying to view has a mobile version, you can try viewing that version of their website.

Otherwise, just be patient. Designing websites for all these new mobile devices can be a huge task. I am having a hard time as well. Eventually most major websites will adapt to the new devices.
