Kindle Fire Caps Lock Key

Dear Computer Lady,

Why doesn’t my Kindle Fire have a caps lock key?

It takes so much longer to type something in capital letters when I have to tap the shift key before each letter.

Isn’t there an easier way?

Thanks, David

Dear David,

Actually, there is a hidden way to turn on the caps lock on both your Kindle Fire, and the iPad. Simply double-tap the shift key and it will change color depending on what device you are using.

On some kindle fire devices, the key will turn orange, while on newer Kindle Fire devices an orange line will appear under the arrow. On the iPad ,the shift button will turn blue.

Now you can type in uppercase, and when you are finished with the caps lock, just tap the shift key one more time to turn caps lock off.
