Scratched Kindle Screen

Dear Computer Lady,

I have had a Kindle for a few years, and it got scratched…

is there any way to get it fixed?

Or a telephone number to call?

Carol

Dear Carol,

The great thing about low cost reading devices like the Kindle is that it is affordable for many people. The downside, however is that to keep costs down, these devices are often not something that can be fixed.

If your Kindle was less than a year old, you could contact Amazon’s Kindle Support either online at:

http://tinyurl.com/ac8vplw

or you could call Amazon.com’s Kindle Support service at 1-866-321-8851.

and get a replacement.

Since your Kindle is several years old, it won’t be replaced under warranty, but you might be able to visit the support website and trade it in toward the purchase of a new Kindle.

I hope this helps.

Elizabeth
