Dear Computer Lady,
I’m doing medical transcription using Microsoft Word. Is there a shortcut I can use when I want to put something in “bold” other than going up to the tool bar and clicking “bold”? Also, a shortcut to undo the “bold”. Thanks for all your help! You’re a Godsend!!
Robin
Dear Robin,
Just hold down the “Ctrl” key on your keyboard and press the letter “B” to turn on the bold formatting. Repeat the action to turn it back off.
The same thing will work for Italic, just hold down “Ctrl” and I to turn it on and off, and “Ctrl” and “U” for underline.
Hope this makes your transcription faster and easier!
Elizabeth
