[ad]Dear Computer Lady,
Can you recommend a good password generator?
Thanks, Robert
Dear Robert,
LastPass has a great password generator on their website at:
https://lastpass.com/generatepassword.php
There, you can specify the length of the password, what kind of characters to include along with several other options.
The passwords are actually generated on your computer, not on their website so they don’t have access to the password you generate.
While password generators are great for creating strong, secure passwords, they are not great for creating easy to remember passwords. If you need to keep the password in your head, try using the first letter of each word in a phrase or song, along with a few digits of a telephone number you want to memorize. That makes it easy for you to remember, but hard for others to crack.

I’ve never understood what is so difficult about creating passwords. String letters and numbers (and some punctuation marks, if allowed) together. Capitalize some of the letters. Make sure none of the letters create words and that none of the numbers (if two or more digits together) signify anything to you (birthdate, address, age, etc.). Just random letters, random numbers. Not rocket science.
