How To Download and Store Video

[ad]Dear Computer Lady,

I wish to download and store video tutorials from youtube and others.

How can I do this??

Please try to help me out, Robert

Dear Robert,

The only way to do this is to get a program that will allow you to download videos.

One of the more popular programs that will allow you to do this is Real Player at www.real.com.

Once you have installed Real Player, every video that can be downloaded will have a small menu pop up with options for saving the video.

Perhaps others can share what they use in the comments section below.

I use YTD Video Downloader. Works with Youtube, Vimeo and a host of other video providers.

I have never had any success with Real Player, even just for playing music. I consider it a piece of garbage.

There’s a website called savefrom.net that let’s one download YouTube videos by following these steps:
    1) Open video in YouTube
    2) Once video begins to play, pause it by clicking the pause button.
    3) Go to the address bar of your browser where the URL of the video is displayed. (Something like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9RKO1-Ocyg and INSERT the letters ss before the y in youtube. Such as https://www.ssyoutube.com/watch?v=G9RKO1-Ocyg)
    4) Press Enter.
    5) Your YouTube video is replaced by a savefrom.net webpage that displays several different download links.
    6) Select the resolution/format you want and click on it. Your video begins downloading to wherever your downloads are saved.
    7) You’ve got that YouTube you wanted!
