Dear Computer Lady,
I, too, have enjoyed the shutdown shortcut. Please tell us a Vista shortcut for restarting the computer.
Thanks for great information! JJ

Dear JJ,
I do have directions for creating a restart shortcut in Vista.
1. Right click on a blank spot on your desktop.
2. In the context menu that appears, point to “New” and then click on “Shortcut”.
3. A “Create Shortcut” window will appear (pictured below). Type the following in the location box:
Shutdown.exe -r -t 00
4. Click the “Next” button.
5. Click on the “Finish” button.
When you double click on your new shutdown shortcut, the computer will go through the shutdown process.
