Capacitive touch screens

Capacitive touch screens

Capacitive touch screens are usually found on tablets and smart phones.

Capacitive touch screens sense your touch on the screen based on the electrical impulses in your body.

(Usually the tip of your finger when you tap or swipe it across the screen)

Because it senses the electrical impulses, you do not need to press down on the screen with any force, just gently touch the screen.

Capacitive touch screens don’t respond to objects that don’t conduct electrical impulses like your gloves or a stylus. (although you can purchase special gloves that work with capacitive touch screens, and special styluses)
