I love the way the internet has changed the way we learn!
I taught myself to sew over 30 years ago using an old black singer machine that my grandmother had used to make clothing for my father and his siblings.
Back then, it was trial and error, and an occasional trip to the repair shop where I might get a quick lesson on maintaining my machine before I took it back home.
Recently, I signed up for a Craftsy class named, Sewing Machine 911, and I wish I could have taken this class 30 years ago!
I am only 3/5 of the way through the class, but already I have learned several new things, and am happy to know that once I have the class, I can go back and watch the video over and over again.
If you have ever ended up with a tangle of threads in your sewing project, this is the craftsy class you will want to start out with!
