Do I Need Windows 10?

I have windows 7 and am happy with it. Is there a need to upgrade to windows 10? Microsoft asks me everyday!

Dear Ann,

No, it is not necessary to upgrade to Windows 10. In fact, if Windows 7 is working great, and you are happy with it, I would reccomend that you stay with 7.

At some point down the road, you might have a compelling reason to upgrade, but for now, it is wise to be content with what you have and let other early up-graders discover all the bugs in the system.

    Is the upgrade to Windows 10 necessary? Yes and no. Every operating system has “bugs” and will do so in the future. Apple and Microsoft offer service packs and patches ongoing.
    Why upgrading? Well, Windows 10 will be the last operating system from Microsoft. It will be updated and upgraded as Apple does with their OS.
    All previous Windows had “bugs”. Microsoft’s problem was that they wanted to change the entire visible structure of Windows where many users were overwhelmed and got angry about the constant changes.
    That will be over now. I personally think it is a good idea to focus on just one operating system and make that one better, than focusing on several like they still do right now. Mostly because users don’t want to change. So please, make the change and as for help when you have questions. Cheers!
