How To Uninstall Windows 10

[ad]Dear Computer Lady,

I upgraded to Windows 10 and I hate it.

How can I go back to 8.1?

Thanks, Linda

Dear Linda,

Microsoft will actually allow you to go back to your previous operating system for 30 days after you upgrade.

Please remember, you should have your data files all backed up before starting this process. You don’t want to lose all your documents and pictures.

To go back to your previous operating system (In your case Windows 8.1) just follow these directions:

1. Click on the start menu, and click on “Settings”.

2. Click on “Update & Security”.

3. Click on “Recovery” in the left column.

4. You should see an option that says, “Go back to Windows 8.1) in the right column. Click the “Get Started” button and follow the prompts to go back.
