Dear Computer Lady,
Thank you for all the wonderful help and advice you provide! Here’s my question:
With previous versions of Windows, I could change my default “View” of files to List, Details, Large Icons, etc.
I could change the view once in one place, and it would be changed everywhere. Is there a way to do that in Windows 10?
Thank you! Stephanie
Dear Stephanie,
Here are the directions for setting the default view for files and folders in Windows 10:
1. Open File Explorer. Set your view the way you want it to be.
2. Click on “View” in the ribbon, then “Options” and “Change Folder and search options” to open the folder options dialog box.
3. Click on the “View” tab
4. Click the button under folder views that says, “Apply to Folders”
5. Click the “OK” button to save your changes and close the dialog box.
