Using System Restore

If a problem suddenly develops on your Windows XP computer, the easiest way to fix the problem might be to restore your computer to an earlier date. With Windows XP, this is built right into your system. Just follow these directions:

Click on “Start” point to “All Programs” then “Accessories”, “System Tools” and then click on “System Restore”.

Click on “Restore My Computer to an earlier Time” then click “Next”.

Click a date on the calendar that is before your problem started happening, only dates that are bold (darker) will work. Then click “Next”.

Click “Next” again and wait while the restore process takes place. Your computer will reboot to finish the process.
