As many others have written you about a slow starting computer, I also have the same problem. I have read your solutions, but I don’t know what programs need to be in the msconfig file.

How do I know what to delete and what to keep?

Dear Kathy,

Unfortunately, there are so many things that can be listed in your msconfig file, that I can’t tell you what to stop from starting up, and what to keep.

What I can tell you is that you need to keep your antivirus program running, and most of the time it is fairly easy to identify those files.

Once you have identified your antivirus files (there might be more that one file starting up for a single antivirus program) you can either experiment with turning off the remaining startup items (you can always turn them back on the same way you turn them off) or
